Delores M. Abraham, known to her friends as "Ms. Dee" was born and raised in Breaux Bridge , Louisiana . She is a graduate of George Washington Carver High School and received a degree in Business Administration and Management from Brevard Community College , Cocoa , FL. She began her career with NASA/Kennedy Space Center in 1972 and has held several demanding positions including Manager of Astronaut Crew Quarters. She currently is a Protocol Specialist in the External Relations Directorate, Guest Services and Special Events Office.

Delores' community involvement is varied and diverse, having been a volunteer for Parent Connection (Support Group for Pregnant Teens), past Chairperson for KSC's Diversity Celebration Event, member of Federal Employed Women(FEW), member of KSC Federal Credit Union Board of Directors, member of Progressive Action Society of Titusville, Executive Committee Member of North Brevard NAACP, and member Board of Directors, Harry T. & Harriette V. Moore Cultural Complex, Inc. She is an active member of Holy Sprit Catholic Church, Titusville , FL and continues to support her home church, Saint Francis of Assissi Catholic Church in her home town.
